31 March                 Applications Close

1 - 7 April               Applications Assessed & Recommendations Presented To Sport Wellington Board of Trustees

12 - 16 April            Application Approved/Declined By Sport Wellington Board of Trustees

23 April                   All Applicants Notified of Outcome

26 April - 7 May        KiwiSport Investment Schedules with Successful Applicants Completed

KiwiSport Funding Process Flow Chart

The KiwiSport Funding Process Flow Chart below outlines both the non-contestable and contestable process. 

The non-contestable fund is just that, non-contestable. Sport Wellington will look to identify appropriate lead agency/agencies for non-contestable projects as identified by way of community consultations and submissions.

The contestable fund is available for schools, sport, groups and community organisations in order to increase the number of school-aged children particpating in organised sport. Applications for KiwiSport funding are to be electronically submitted ONLY.
